Check out the books we’re currently reading – GTTG reviews to follow soon!

‘Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine’ by Gail Honeyman. Ok, so we’re a bit late to the party with this book as its been out for a while – but there has been so much buzz around it, it’s time to give it a read! With a movie based on the book in production (Reese Witherspoon optioned the rights), we hope that the book lives up to the hype! The story tells of Eleanor Oliphant, who lives her life by routine – goes to work Monday to Friday, buys food and vodka every Friday and doesn’t see anyone at weekends, keeping herself to herself, until one simple act of kindness changes everything.

‘A Spark of Light’ by Jodi Picoult. At GTTG we are big fans of Jodi Picoult’s novels – her writing focuses on fictional stories that spark moral debates and tend to have some great twists and turns (the endings to her books tend to surprise!). This latest novel from Picoult centres around a women’s reproductive health clinic – a gunman bursts in and takes everyone hostage and the police negotiator doesn’t know that his daughter (fifteen) is inside…

‘Nine Perfect Strangers’ by Liane Moriarty. Another of our favourite authors (‘Big Little Lies’ is excellent) this story funnily enough tells of nine strangers – stressed out from city life – who attend a health and wellness retreat which promises to transform them.
